Timber Treatments - Woodworm

The larvae stage of wood boring beetles is commonly known as woodworm. Woodworm is where the larvae eat through timbers and if left untreated it can cause serious structural damage to a building.

Our experts are able to treat timbers with a variety of different treatments available. Each treatment is a preventative solution to either protect from woodworm or stop any further damage to the integrity of the structural assetts of a building in some cases the timbers may be beyond repair and require replacing.

How to identify Woodworm

  • Tiny holes in the timber
  • A fine powdery dust appearing around these holes
  • Edges of boards and joists crumbling
  • The presence of adult beetles
  • Dust of 'Frass' escaping from the timber

How we Service Woodworm Treatments

  • A professional FREE survey is carried out to establish the extent of the problem and inherent timber damage
  • Once the survey has been carried out, we will present a survey recommending the appropriate treatment. This will also include any timber replacement if required
  • Following agreement of our quotation we will carry out all works recommended by the survey, restoring the building back to full health
  • After works a 20 year Insurance Backed Guarantee will be issued
